This really began for me in the summer of 1998. After graduating I went to the US to work at a summer camp in Maine.
After two months there I travelled across the States for three weeks and from then I decided I had to see more of the world.
Several trips followed, including a six month round the world trip and a volunteer placement at a game reserve in South Africa.
What started as an interest in travel and wildlife turned into an interest in photography, which then became a passion.
I created my first web site in 2000 to share my holiday photos. In February 2006 I discovered digital SLR photography and a year
later I came across
Gallery2, an open source photo management application,
and created this website.
Digital photography combined with Gallery2 has made it much simpler and quicker to add photos to my site, so since then I've
been adding many more photos to the gallery.
Iceland
In September 2007 I moved to Iceland for work, and I suddenly found myself within easy reach of many amazing sites and landscapes. There, I took hundreds of photos and the
Iceland section is by far the largest (and one of my favourite) collection of images.
