USA 2003
Home | Travel Diary
I had wanted to do another Green Tortoise trip since 1999 when I did my second cross country trip. I'd done similar tours in Australia and Africa but none had the atmosphere of the Green Tortoise.
Having been to several places in the southwest before, I was a bit put off by doing a similar trip, but the southwest of the States remains one of my favourite regions in the world in terms of scenery so I had no problems with seeing some of the same places again.
When I returned from my round the world trip in May 2002, I decided that I would do the 16 day National Parks Loop the following summer.
It was a typical Green Tortoise style trip; swimming in rivers and lakes, hiking though amazing scenery, camping out under the stars, and with around 30 other people on the trip, a good laugh is always guaranteed.
Equipment
Canon EOS 30E with 28-90 and 75-300mm Canon lenses.
Film was Fuji Reala print film (ISO 100) and a circular polariser was used for most of the landscape shots.
