I had been to the US twice before. Both times I had done a coast to coast trip on the Green Tortoise. I was tempted to do the same again for the third year in a row but, as I had seen many of the places already, I decided to do something different.

I always wanted to drive in the States, on those long straight roads through that amazing scenery. I also wanted the freedom that the tour companies don't give you.
