It had been six years since I'd been to the US lower 48. Having done four Green Tortoise trips before, I knew it was by far the best and most exciting way to see the country's national parks.

So in the summer of 2009 I did my fifth trip with the Green Tortoise. Starting and ending in San Francisco, we visited the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon, as well as lots of other beautiful places in between, such as the stunning Goosenecks State Park.

I came back with a huge amount of photos and I decided it would be better if I split the album up into three sections. Most of the photos are in the Landscapes album.
