Thorsmork and Landmannalaugar
I had wanted to visit Landmannalaugar for a long time and I finally got my opportunity during a 11 day trip through Iceland in July 2008. For me it's the most spectacular place in Iceland, if not the world.
17 June is Iceland's independence day and a national holiday. I took the opportunity to visit Thorsmork national park. Surrounded by three glaciers, it's one of Iceland's most beautiful national parks and is only accessible during the summer months.
